More Than Just Protection – The Uses of a Laptop Skin

The interest in owning desktop computers is dwindling and the rise of the laptop is well underway. People of today are far more mobile and like to be able to carry their computers around with them for easy, instant access.

So much travel often results in scratches, smudges and dents in the finish. The production of laptop skins, however, has all but put an end to that – all in one beautiful package. Express your personality and unique style with any number of lovely skins; there are literally thousands of options to choose between. They can suit just about any laptop as well as Mac Books, and give your computer a consistent brand new, shiny look.

• Protective layer – Laptops are expensive. As much as possible you want to defend them against scrapes and bumps, both technical and aesthetic. Everyone wants their notebook to keep its nice appearance. Outside of your laptop case, there isn’t much protecting your laptop and screen from day-to-day accidents and spills that may occur. Having an extra layer there can make a significant difference to how your computer looks over time.

• Attractive – These skins are dropped very simply, and leave no residue, so they look professional whilst still making the computer casing appear new. They are all attractive, giving it a sleek, just-opened feel whilst detailing any number of gorgeous images.

• Easy installation – You can put your new skin on your laptop in under a minute; and there are many videos detailing the process, so you can see for yourself how it’s done, if you’re unsure. Most skins also include a handy little kit which prepares the surface of your laptop prior to placing the cover.

• Individualism – Aside from there being an enormous variety to choose from, no matter what style you are looking for, there are also websites which will custom design skins for you. Having one on your laptop will definitely give it its own unique appeal, whilst showing off some of your own singular flavour. If you are a rocker, you can attain an image of a burning musical icon. A nature lover can display breathtaking scenery. A sports fan can show off his loyalties. You can display your fandom for hundreds of shows, books, movies and celebrities. There is something for everyone.

• Marketing – If you so choose, you can display your very own business logo. It is not always possible to hand out business cards. A custom design company skin can do the talking for you whilst you work on your laptop.

US Masters Golf Course 101: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About One of the Most Golf Courses in the World

The Masters has been hosted at Augusta National Golf Club ever since 1934. The course was plannedby Dr. Alister Mackenzie and was built in 1931 and play began the following year, although the official opening wasn’t until early 1933. The course was originally a nursery, but the idea to play golf on this huge plot of land was thought up by Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts.

The Course

The actual course is made up of the standard eighteen-hole course, but also includes a par 3 nine-hole course. The Masters is actually played on the 7,400+ yard 18-hole, par 72 course. The course is divided into approximately a hundred acres of fairway and just under half this amount of rough. There are a total of 6 water hazards for competitors to overcome, as well as 44 bunkers.

You will also find three separate bridges on the course, namely Hogan, Nelson and Sarazen Bridges. Hole 13 is often referred to as Amen Corner and has one of the most famous Masters’ water features. There are a number of cabins dotted around the course, typically used by members. Two of the cabins are extremely well-known, the Little White House (due to the occupants previously being members of the Secret Service) and the Butler Cabin (christened after Thomas Butler).

Members

Augusta National is also a private members club and to become a member you must be invited rather than simply applying to join. There are currently no more than 300 members. An ancient tradition that still hasn’t changed is the fact that women can actually play on the course, but in order to be a member you must be male. This is something that has caused much controversy and many people have lobbied for this ruling to be changed.

Tickets

As you may expect, purchasing tickets to see the Masters is no easy task. In fact, these tickets are amongst some of the most sought after for any sporting event. The course has also be said to be one of the very hardest anywhere in the world of golf and many professional golfers have seen their dreams go up in a cloud of smoke while trying to make their way around the course.

If you are looking for tickets to the Masters, depending on where you will be, you can expect to pay a minimum price of around £60 and anywhere up to £7,000. However, it must be said that this is an opportunity of a lifetime, and you will experience seeing the world’s very best golfers on possibly the most famous course in the world.

The Simple and Handy Guide to Help You Learn All You Need to Learn About Temporary Hair Dyes

Do you want to change your hair colour for an event and you are not ready to commit to a permanent change? You can try a temporary hair dye option instead. Temporary hair dye is exactly what it sounds like and it does not stay in the hair for a long period of time. The hair colour can be removed after the first time you shampoo your hair and scalp.

What Colours Do Temporary Hair Dyes Come In And When Should You Wear Them?

These dyes are meant to be used on an as needed basis and you can use them to rejuvenate your hair. You may also decide that you want to totally reinvent yourself for a day or night and choose a temporary hair colour that is totally uncharacteristic for you. You can find these dyes in colours like brown and black, but they are also available in unusual hair colours like:
• Pink
• Yellow
• Blue
• Green
• Purple

You can also choose other bright and vibrant colours. There is little doubt that you will cause quite a stir no matter what event you are planning.

What Makes A Temporary Hair Dye Temporary?

The reason why this type of dye is considered temporary is because the colour molecules in the dye are huge. These large molecules are not able to get through all of the layers of the hair strand. As a result, it remains on the outer most layer of the hair. This makes it extremely easy for you to be able to wash the dye out of your hair with some mild shampoo and water.

Who Should Choose Temporary Hair Dyes?

Special events are not the only reasons why you may want to use a temporary dye. If you are thinking about dyeing your hair a different colour, but you are not ready for a definite change, you can use temporary dyes until you decide whether or not you want to take the plunge and choose a permanent hair dye.

How Long Does It Take To Apply The Temporary Dye?

You do not have to complete any complicated steps or wait for hours for the dye to take effect. The procedure can be done at home and depending on the dye you choose, you can complete the entire process whilst washing your hair in the shower.

Temporary hair dyes are a great alternative to the permanent dyes if you are still on the fence about dyeing your hair. It is safe and it will also be an interesting change from the norm.

Natural Forms of Weed Killer that You Can Easily Make Yourself, Leaving Your Garden Weed-Free and Ecologically Sound

A lot of people think that the only way to kill a weed is to drown it on noxious poisons. The poisons pollute the air, the water and the ground, but they do indeed kill weeds as well. In fact, they kill anything they come into contact with. However, did you know that there are some equally effective weed killers that are completely organic? This means they kill weeds just as quickly, whilst biodegrading just as quickly as well.

Water

The easiest weed killer to get your hands on is water. Water kills weed, which seems nonsensical but is actually true. However, you have to boil it and apply it in that manner. The water will be absorbed by the plants, making them burn from the inside out. Now you understand why you should never water your plants when it is hot, as it will make them burn up as well.

Other Options

There are other options available as well, although all based on the principle of acid. Hence, you can use anything from vinegar to orange juice. However, you may find that the stuff you buy from your supermarket actually isn’t strong enough. But, if you dilute them with slightly less water, you could use vinegar, apples, grapes and carrots. Alternatively, you can purchase a fully organic weed killer like ‘WOW!’ This is actually created using these plants. Another option is Burnout, which uses high vinegar content.

What you are looking for if you want to purchase an organic weed killer is one that is made from either nitric or sulphuric acids. Not only do these kill the weeds, they will also provide your soil with nutrients. Sulphuric acid almost immediately oxidises, creating sulphates, which are fantastic fertilisers. Nitric acids do something similar, forming nitrates which are also excellent as a fertiliser. In other words, your weeds will die and your plants will thrive.

The one difficulty, however, is that it isn’t just weeds that will die if they get sprayed by nitric or sulphuric acid. This means that it can be quite difficult to use if you already have a well-established garden. It can be difficult to only hit the weeds and leave the rest of the plants alone. Many people have started using paint brushes instead. Do watch out, however, that you can pollinate with paint brushes as well; so take care not to actually spread weed seeds to other parts of your garden in doing so.

Not Sure What A Good Nursing Bra Looks Like? Take Some Time to Consider the Features That Help Make a Great Nursing Bra

Once you have found out that you are pregnant, you will soon find yourself spending a lot of time wearing maternity bras and nursing bras. After your baby is born, you will exclusively wear nursing bras if you plan to breastfeed your baby.

You will also face some challenges when you nurse your baby, especially if you have to nurse when you are not at home. This is why it is imperative that you do not rush out and buy the first nursing bra that you see. You want to make sure that the bra you purchase is sufficient for your individual needs.

How Nursing Bras Differ

When you begin shopping for nursing bras, you will notice that they look similar to regular bras, but they do not work the same as a regular bra. A regular bra provides support and comfort for women who are not pregnant or nursing and a nursing bra is designed for women who are nursing. These bras usually have several interesting features including:

• More hook and eye closures to accommodate the changes in the size of the breasts.
• More support than conventional bras
• Allows mums to place nursing pads in the cups discreetly
• Make the process of nursing more convenient for mum
There are several things that you will want to look for so you can select nursing bras that will work for you.

Do Not Buy Nursing Bras Early

You do not have to go out and get fitted for a nursing bra early in your pregnancy because you will increase in size several times before your baby is born. Many women wait until the last few weeks of their third trimester before they begin to shop for nursing bras. Maternity bras will suffice for the duration of your pregnancy.

Get Fitted By a Professional

Your mum or sister may mean well, but unless they are professional bra fitters, make sure that you are measured by someone who is trained to take accurate measurements of your bust line so you can get fitted correctly for a nursing bra.

The Nursing Bra Should Be Easy To Manoeuvre

You have enough going on in your life without having to worry about complicated undergarments. Choose a nursing bra that will allow you to open the flaps with one hand and also select bras that have plastic, not metal closures.

It is important to prolong the life of your nursing bras for as long as possible. Always make sure to check the label so you will know how to care for your bras. This will help to ensure that they stay comfortable, provide support and look pretty for a long time.

There Are Several Distinct Signs That Will Let You Know That it is Time for You to Buy Some New Bras

There are few things that women hate more than bra shopping. When the time does finally arrive, they create a list of reasons why it is not the best time for them to go shopping. Some of the reasons on the list are:

• They do not like to shop for bras.
• Bras are expensive.
• They can never find a bra that fits properly.
• They do not have the time to shop for a bra.

Even though it is extremely frustrating to shop for bras, there is little that you can do to prevent it from occurring. Sooner or later you will have to buy a new bra and it may not be just because you see a hole or the wire has started to show. It is critical that women know when it is time for them to buy new bras. If you can relate to some of the following signs, you may need to buy a new bra today!

Has it Been A Year or More Since You Purchased A Bra?

Quality bras are not cheap. If you have ever browsed in a lingerie shop, you have seen bras that may have cost as much as 75 pounds or more. But, you can also find great bras for less than 40 pounds. You just may have to avoid eating out for a week or two, or forgo that manicure.

Are You Pregnant?

In the midst of the excitement also comes the responsibility of choosing the right type of bra to wear during your pregnancy. You will not need to purchase any new bras immediately, but expect to go bra shopping within your first trimester. Make sure you buy the most supportive bras that you can find. This will help reduce the amount of sagging afterwards.

You Use the Washer to Clean Your Bras

If your washer and your bras have daily or weekly appointments to see each other, you will need to purchase some new bras. Bras should be hand washed to help preserve the lifespan of the bra. Take the extra time to wash your bras by hand. Your bra and your wallet will thank you later.

You See Noticeable Holes in Your Bra

Any bra that has holes in it should be replaced immediately. What if the hole becomes a tear whilst you are wearing the bra? Discard old and damaged bras as soon as possible.

Have You Lost Weight Or Gained Weight?

A weight difference in any direction signals a trip to the lingerie shop to get fitted for a new bra. When your body composition and shape changes, you need new bras to reflect the change.

Is Your Baby a Dribble Monster? 5 Reasons Why You Need to Invest in Lots of Pretty Baby Bibs for Your Child

From the moment they are born to the day they leave home, children leave nothing but mess in their wake. As newborns they fill up their nappies with amazing regularity and as teenagers they dump their dirty clothes all over the bedroom floor in the hope that the washing fairy will do her thing. Thankfully there are plenty of ways parents can minimise the mess, particularly during the early years. So if your baby is prone to drooling or vomiting up his feeds, an ample supply of dribble bibs is an absolute must-have.

5 Reasons Why Baby Bibs Are Essential Baby Wear

Some babies generate so much laundry it just isn’t funny. Imagine the pain of dressing your cute little baby in an adorable new outfit for a special event, only to discover five minutes later that they have left a nasty stain all down the front. Yes, these things can and do happen when you have a baby prone to drooling or vomiting. So with this in mind, here are a few good reasons why you need to invest in baby bibs:

Teething Troubles

Although some babies are born with a few teeth, most babies start teething around 4 months. During this time, they tend to drool an awful lot, which is unpleasant for them and very messy for you. A fabric baby bib can’t take away the pain, but it can mop up the worst excesses of drool.

Weaning Baby

Introducing food to a baby is an exciting time. It is also a very messy time and bibs are an essential accessory if you want to keep him or her as clean as possible. Hard plastic bibs are great for older babies and toddlers, but to start with a soft fabric bib should be sufficient to soak up pureed apple and strained carrots.

Feeding Baby

Some babies have a tendency to burp up milk after every feed and a soft baby bib can be very handy for cleaning them up and catching any milky drool.

Extra Protection

When baby is all dressed up in his finest outfit and you desperately need him to stay clean and dry, a soft baby bib is the best way to prevent any nasty accidents. It won’t stop his nappy leaking, but at least it will keep his front clean.

Fashion Accessories

There are plenty of opportunities to accessorise your baby with a pretty bib and small babies look very cute when dressed in festive bibs at Christmas time.

If You Want a Good Night’s Sleep, Make Sure You Choose the Right Duvet in Order to Stay Cozy and Warm

In times past, such as in the 18th century, many people did not use traditional bed sheets like we have now, so it was much more difficult to find a way to stay warm at night. This led to the invention of the duvet. A duvet is a special type of bedding set that doesn’t require any bed sheets or additional blankets in order to keep you warm. These are large bags, essentially, that are filled with down feathers or today, non-allergenic synthetic materials designed to imitate feathers that are used to keep you warm. They come with a very large cover – the duvet cover – that essentially functions as a very large pillowcase to protect the duvet, as well as preventing you from getting poked by any stray feathers in the night. Today, duvets are bedroom essentials.

How did duvets become so popular?

Duvets typically use down feathers from either ducks or geese because these feathers provide the best usefulness as thermal insulation. They not only prevent you from getting cold, but they also help prevent you from getting too hot as well. In the past, many beds would use two separate duvets. One duvet would be placed over top of the mattress, and the person sleeping would have another duvet covering them. Today, however, we tend to use sheets with our duvets. The material we use inside of duvets has never really changed however, with the exception of the invention of synthetic fibres. Duck and goose down are still the most commonly used duvet fillers. Goose down is especially popular. This is because geese travel through such extreme climates in their life, with only feathers to keep them warm, and their down has evolved to become the perfect natural insulation. Three popular types of goose down that are considered to be of the highest quality are Siberian, Canadian, and Hungarian.

While Hungarian goose down is considered to be the finest quality available, Canadian goose down has become quite well known for its high quality thanks to the cold, harsh climate Canadian geese have to survive in. If you need your duvet to be incredibly warm, you are going to want it filled with down from geese that live in harsh, cold climates like they have in Siberia, Canada and Hungary. Duvets with this down will have a higher TOG rating. The higher the TOG rating on your duvet, the warmer it will be.

You Will Know About the Different Parts of Salon Insurance Cover Before You Select a Policy

Many graduates from cosmetology school dream of the day when they can open their own salon. If the time has come for you to make your dream a reality, you will need to make sure that before your salon accepts its first client you have the right type of salon insurance.

You will have a large investment in not only time but also money when it comes starting your salon. The best way to protect your investment is to make sure that you have the right type of insurance to protect you from any possible threats to your business and your financial future.

You Will Need Professional Liability Insurance

The average retail shop does not need to have the same type of cover as a salon because most shops do not provide the same types of personal service. A salon owner needs to have specific cover to protect against claims from customers that are not satisfied with the services they received. For example, if you performed a hair colouring service on a client and they were not happy with the results, you could be sued. They can file a lawsuit against you and your business with or without a legitimate reason.
The wrong type of insurance may not protect you from this type of claim, and as a result you could lose your business and everything that you worked hard to acquire. If you are properly insured, your insurance will pay any of the expenses that need to be paid out to the customer.

The Reasons You Need To Have Property Insurance

A salon owner is ultimately responsible for all of the property that is located inside of the business. This means that you are liable for any property that you have in your salon and any property that your employees have in your salon. Property insurance will protect your business from:

• Vandalism
• Theft
• Burglary

You can also include protection from damaged equipment. If your sinks or other necessary equipment is damaged for any reason, the insurance company will pay you to have the equipment replaced.

You Must Include General Liability in Your Cover

Hopefully your salon will have a steady amount of foot traffic. More people in and out of your salon’s door mean more growth for your business. It also increases the chances of accidents occurring in your salon. General liability insurance protects you from claims that are made from customers who slip and fall in your salon.

Opening a salon is not for the faint of heart. It takes a lot of determination and hard work to make your salon a success. The best way to get started on the path to success is having the right type of insurance.
